Parish Forum
Our Lady's 'Parish Forum' is a gathering for all Parishioners that meets occasionally depending on needs. It is an 'open Forum' where parishioners can express their views, and where the Parish Priest can inform people of forthcoming events and plans, and offer suggestions of how the Parish Community may grow. Equally so, this is a 'Forum' where Parishioners can share their ideas and suggestions with the Priest. These meetings are always helpful, creating healthy discussion and ideas that do really help move this Community forward.
At the Parish Forum on 7th November 2001 it was decided to form a 'Co-ordination and Consultation Group' made up of representatives from the existing Parish Groups and some representatives not assigned to any Group. The function of this Body will be to share in day to day running of the Parish with the Priest, but also maybe to take on some projects of it's own, and call in help and skills from Parishioners as needed, so that Priest and People will truly be sharing in the Church's Mission. This represents a great step forward for our Parish in taking ownership on it's own life and work. This body will report twice a Year to the Parish Forum. Since February 11th 2002, the Co-ordination and Consultation Group now continues it's work under the title of 'The Parish Project Group'.
